Hi all,
I've installed 6 Debian 12 virtual machines on parallels 19.4.0 (Mac Mini M2 Pro), from the same base image, kernel 6.1.0, with only 1 network interface bridged on default adapter (wired lan).
My network configuration is done via Ansible using Network Manager and everything works fine, but at a certain point, the dns configuration is lost. I tried to find logs or events related but nothing.
Via network manager I configure 2 dns and the resolv.conf file is correct, like this:

Hi,

Vagrant uses the first shared network nic and is getting an ip address from the internal dhcp server. Is it possible to set a fixed ip address on that first shared network nic?

If not, can I add a second shared network nic with a fixed ip address? If so, is there an example how? Thanks!

Hi,
I cannot get a second box to come up if one is already running. I'm using Laravel Homestead (which is using Laravel Settler as a box "provider" and that in turn seems to be based on the bento ubuntu image of ubuntu 20.04.05, box is called `laravel/homestead-arm`) with a local install on 2 separate repositories. This used to work fine for me on my previous, Intel Macbook, with both Virtualbox and Parallels as Vagrant providers. However it doesn't work on the M1 Mac.

I'm currently running the eval version of Parallels 18 Desktop Pro after moving to Macbook Pro M2 from Intel based Macbook.

I'm running into several issues with the parallels provider for Vagrant when using multi-machine configuration. I've reset all settings in Parallels - everything should be the default values.

I'm on a Mac Monterey 12.4 with Vagrant (Homestead for Laravel projects), Parallels Desktop 17.1.4. Upon booting up the VM I got this message that the Parallels Tools is outdated - screenshot so I opened the Parallels Desktop UI and clicked on the orange "!" which said "Update Parallels Tools", which is taking forever (2 days). I checked the parallels-tools-install.log and I saw this:

Just trying to see if anyone can give me a little help or point me in the right direction. This is my first time using virtual machines and Vagrant. I have a Mac with the M1 chip. I downloaded Parallels and Vagrant. Everything seems to running fine on Parallel. However when I try to use Vagrant to create my VMs I get this error message:

I've just upgraded my Macbook from Intel to M1 and came here to test if Parallels hypervisor works well with Vagrant.
It looks like there is only Desktop version available as a trial, wherever I click I get to this: https://www.parallels.com/eu/products/desktop/trial/
Vagrant doesn't support Desktop, according to this https://kb.parallels.com/en/122843?_ga=2.242208194.1104751421.1619471414-182379460.1618566929 I should have Business or Pro edition.

I am a C++ developer, and I am just testing power state changes on Windows.

Hello there,
I've been using vagrant for several years with VirtualBox, and I usually create a port forward for ssh service, which is convenient to do a lot of things, including accessing a VM from a remote machine. It still works without any problem today, with VirtualBox as a provider.
Today I'm trying to use Parallels as a provider for vagrant, for the first time.
And it seems the port forwarding for ssh is simply ignored.

I see there are some threads about shared_folders, but they aren't clear that the synced folders should still map correctly when the linux box is restarted. I have: config.vm.synced_folder "../", "/var/www/vhosts" set in my Vagrant file, but when I restart the box from the terminal, when I vagrant ssh back in to VM, the shared folder is no longer there.
