I have Outlook installed on my Win 10 virtual drive with Parallels 11. Majority of the time Outlook is disconnected. When opening Outlook it be be several minutes before it actually connects. Other times it just won't connect and I have to open and close 3 or 4 times before it will connect. Send/Receive option in Outlook doesn't help the issue either. Other times when Outlook has been connected for some time it will just drop connection and will not reconnect. I can have emails it my phone and and take ages before I get them in Outlook. Has anyone experienced this issue? Help on this would be appreciated as it is so damn annoying.
Hello Sandy, please start your virtual machine and go to Devices->Network 1->choose Bridged-Default and then restart your virtual machine and check Outlook connection.
Paul, Thanks for the reply. Could you be more specific by where you wish me to look for "Devices". I have looked in "Device Manager" and "Devices & Printers" and I can not see any instance of Network 1. Thanks Sandy
Paul or someone else at Parallels Support: Would appreciate your help in answering my last questions - Could you be more specific by where you wish me to look for "Devices". I have looked in "Device Manager" and "Devices & Printers" and I can not see any instance of Network 1.
I am currently running parallels in bridge mode as discussed above. But for the better part of three years outlook still shows a disconnected status every day or two on my machine. And it's not until I recognize that I'm not getting current email and I close it and reopen it that it starts to work again. Is there anyway to get outlook to reliably stay connected or running parallels? Thank you so much for your help
