Is there an official fix yet? I'm still running build 5608; "check for upgrades" says there are none. That means Parallels Tools still aren't supported under Fedora 9. And Fedora 10 is almost out.
Hello, We are working to implement full Fedora Core 9 support. Unfortunately, there is no official fix yet.
Does V4 fix it Does Fedora 9 work with Parallels 4? I have ordered it, but ordered the CD so it will be a week or so before I try it.
You're kidding right? I hear that VMWare has far better Linux support, so if I am to shell out money again it will be for them. Parallels may be nicer for running Windows, but since I use it for Linux exclusively the missing love on Parallel's part really hurts. Having to wait 6 months for a minor fix is unacceptable.
Can you confirm there will be no support for Fedora 9 in an update to Parallels 3, even though it was promised for months? Meaning you expect me to pay 40 bucks for a fix now, when I could have had a working system much earlier by cross-grading to VMWare? If so, expect me to write a glowing review of Parallels 4.
Dear bertfreudenberg! I understand your anger. But i can not confirm neither there will be support of Fedora 9 in Parallels Desktop 3 nor there will be no support of this guest OS, because i am not responsible for development strategy of Parallels Desktop 3. I think it is better to ask the more correct person... to find them please look at the Announcements thread
I did send a PM to "Andrew @ Parallels" which he did read one week ago. Still no reply. In other news, Parallels 3 build 5626 which was released in the mean time does not fix the problem: Found xorg version 1.5.2 Installation for xorg.1.5 not found.
