    Hi All
Apologies if I am late to the party but I having difficulties running Powershell scripts on my new Mac M3 in Parallels. My old Mac was Intel based and I could run the same scripts quite happily. It allows me to install the msonline module but then fails to see :( Anyone else had this issue. I am running as an admin and I have tried the newer version of Powershell and that kind of works but leaves out half the info in my CSV output. Anyone else had this issue?

Hello all. I am using Parallels Desktop with my 14 Pro M3 Pro, and the Parallels setup with Windows 11 is taking up around 90 GB of space. I have just started with Macs and Parallels so would appreciate a lot if someone could guide on what could be wrong with the storage. I have nothing but MS 365 (Office) installed in Windows. The space taken seems to be growing over time too.
Need to keep it around 30-40 GB max since this seems to be appropriate for a typical Windows 11 + Office set up.

I'm testing Parallels Desktop 19, tried installing Mac OS VM on Sonoma 14.4.1. When setting up and I start the VM it gets stuck and then exists. Any ideas? I'm using a MacBook Pro M3 MAX.

I have an iMac M3, and I'm playing Shogun 2 Morning Sun mod, but it crashes. Before I bought it, I tried playing Shogun 2 on my Windows 11 MacBook Pro M1 with the Parallels software trial to get the Morning Sun Mod to work. However, the graphics are limited from low to medium. So, if I buy the standard or the pro edition, would it allow me to play Shogun 2 on the iMac M3 with ultra-quality graphics? If the problem persists, what can I do to fix it?

It's plausible that Parallels may need some time to update their software to fully support new hardware and operating systems. However, given the potential significance of Apple's announcement and the likelihood of Parallels wanting to support the new MacBook Pro models as soon as possible, they might already be working on updates in anticipation of the new hardware.

The compatibility of Parallels with new hardware and operating systems ultimately depends on various factors, including the complexity of the changes introduced by Apple's M3 Pro chips and the Windows 11 ARM version. Parallels typically provides updates relatively quickly to ensure compatibility with new hardware and software, but there may still be a brief delay as they fine-tune their software for optimal performance.

It's always a good idea to keep an eye on official announcements from Parallels regarding compatibility with new hardware and operating systems, especially if you're planning to use their software on the latest MacBook Pro models.

I don't know if this is M3 issue or an Apple Silicon issue in general.

When I had an i9 MacBook Pro the defaults for memory, CPU cores, etc. seemed reasonable. With my MacBook Pro M3 Max the default CPU cores for Parallels is 4 (it has 10 performance cores, and it only lets you chose even core numbers, so I guess that is OK)

But I have 36 GB of RAM and Parallels 19's default is only 8 GB (4 of which will be used for graphics). Half the total would be 18 GB, so I set it to 16 GB (8 GB of which I presume will then be used for graphics, but it does not indicate how much is reserved for graphics).

Why does Parallels 19 select such a small amount of RAM by default? Is my thinking that 16 or 18 GB would make more sense to let the Windows emulation use?

I own a Macbook Air M3 and unfortunately Sharp Cap does not see any camera connected on my usb-3 port, is it recognized by Parallels?

Hello! I am using Mac with m3 and installed Windows 10 for ARM on ParallelsDesktop 19.1. What version of MS Office i must get for this Windows? I think "MS Office for ARM" but i can't find any other version except version from portal for testers.

    (1) I don't believe there is an ARM version of MS Office. I just signed up for the version that you pay an annual subscription to - Office 365. it is constantly updated and works on line or with the ARM version of Windows 10 (which I originally had) and now on Windows 11.
