seems that parallels released a point update - http://kb.parallels.com/122720 looks like its fixed most if not all the issues raised here
I'm using 9.0.24251 Rev.1052177. I can't install parallels tools on ubuntu 15.04. Please, check this problem.
I was running Ubuntu 14.04 with all the latest updates. Parallels prompted me to update to the latest upgrade (10.2.1) 29006. I did that. Then installed parallel tools. All was working. With the working 15.04 support, I decided to perform the ubuntu upgrade. I did that. Now I have no menu bar using all the latest tools. See attached screenshot. I've since completely shutdown and started back up the virtual machine. Re-installed the Parallel Tools as well. Kind Regards, Chris
Fixed! I restarted Unity and that worked for me. Press Ctrl-Alt-T and that will bring the terminal window up. This will restart it: Code: dconf reset -f /org/compiz/ unity --reset-icons &disown Taken from here: https://forum.parallels.com/threads...sappears-after-parallels-tools-update.291592/
Still no solution to this, right? Just installed Ubuntu 15.04 and I'm stuck with 800x600 screen res and no way to install Parallels Tools.
Same here .. Should I have bought Parallels 10 ? It says could not build kernel modules .. Any recommendation ? I have the latest build of Parallels ..
This worked for me in Debian Jessie. Worth a try for Ubuntu? As root Code: $: cp -r '/<your dir to Parallels Tools>/ '/home/<username>/Downloads/' Then, still as root, Code: $: cd '/home/<username>/Downloads/' $: ./install
This issue is still unresolved when it comes to Parallels 9. Will this ever be fixed or are we forced to upgrade to v10?
