    Hi there,

    Just tried the new 2X Client v. 11.0.0 (1813) .
According to the change log, it should include the following feature:

    - Shadow frame when moving or sizing a published application

I assume this means that instead of showing the window when draggging/resizing, just a border (shadow) would show.
This is similiar to what RemoteApp and Citrix does. And this would prevent the artifacts we currently get when doing those actions.

Thing is, I still see the contents and no shadow frame.

Does anyone knows, then, what exactly does this feature do?

    Thanks.

    Hi, thanks for your post.

Could you contact us on support@2x.com so we can look into this further?

    Thanks

    Hi Andrews,

Unfortunatelly I do not have a contract, because I'm using ASXGFREE.

I can't see any different between the old 10.6 clients and 11, so i would say the "shadow" is really not working.
Also, for published apps, the "show contents while dragging" setting does not seem to make any effect. I always see the full contents of the window when dragging or resizing.
Ca you clarify how would is the "shadow frame" feature expected to work?

    Thanks

@ricdgr By default the 2X Client tries to make a published application appear as seamless as possible. Hence, if the local system is set to "show the contents of the window while dragging", the published application will behave in the same way (even if you set the experience setting to NOT do that!).

I would suggest changing the setting from the local system itself instead of using the experience settings.

However, if you really want to have two different configurations (one for the local applications and one for the published ones) you can disable the "Connection Properties -> Advanced Settings -> Use client system settings (...)" option. Doing so, the remote system will use the experience settings as defined in the connection properties.

I got it to work, but the shadow frame movement is incredible slow and lags behind the mouse.
Also, would be great if I could just set the client to show the frame, without being forced to disable all "client system settings".
