Parallels RAS 19 provides a new and modern application delivery method - Application Packages, which is based on MSIX app attach technology.
MSIX app attach is a Microsoft’s application layering solution that allows you to attach applications to a user session. It makes it easier to streamline the administration of a virtual application or desktop environment, regardless of whether it is on-premises, hybrid cloud, or multi-cloud.
Separating the application from the operating system makes it easier to get more control by providing the right application for the right user
The MSIX package image can be in the CIM, VHD or VHDX.
When launching a published application using MSIX application package (which is added from a CIM image), it may result into the error on the client.
Cause
This issue occurs when using the CIM type image, and the specific version of Windows server - Windows Server 2022 (20348.2582)
Resolution
This is a known issue, occuring with this specific combination of Windows Server version and CIM packages, and it seems to be a Windows Server / API issue.
Currently we are working towards the resolution with the Microsoft Corporation.
As a workaround, please use the MSIX application package based on VHD(x) instead of CIMfs
